Need to admit I want one, the Tepui looks like an awesome design. Wondering if they will get cheaper after they hit production?!

I'd be willing to bet the price will go up after the kickstarter.

kickstarter projects are ALWAYS cheaper in the beginning, if you want one better get one lol. This is the equivalent to a GB except you pay for something that no one will have, for now at the very least, the 15 who own one better bring their ass to my thread :spy:

More information on the Tepui Hardshell will be coming I'm sure. I don't have final production weight or pricing numbers but I'd expect weight around 150lbs-ish, maybe less. I won't even guess at pricing yet. No reason to get a rumor mill started.

Finally got my Autohome Airtop mounted. Soon I'll need to either get it painted to match or wrapped in a MG or carbon fiber print. Also will need to find a shop to splice 5" into each leg on my bed cage so it will sit flush with top of cab that way I can move the RTT forward more so it doesn't hang off the rear so much

Actually, you'd be surprised. I don't know about this one specifically, but a lot them are just as big.

@CoBackCountry thanks. Looks good, I'm guessing you can store your bedding in it when it's closed, also.

I don't know how much you plan on moving it forward...if it is a fair amount, how are you planning on supporting the part the extends over the cab?

I will be doing something very similar with my James Baroud on my SnugTop.

Mine may extend 18-24" over the cab and would need to be supported there by a roof rack/bar. However, with the RTT mounted to the SnugTop and cab the question becomes: how do I allow for flex between cab and shell (SnugTop)?

Any thoughts or ideas are appreciated!

Rubber bushings of some sort... Maybe how the rear shocks top bushings are arranged... Drill holes in the cab bar 2 sizes bigger than the bolt you are using and use washers at the head and nut ends of the bolt and boom... You have a way

You'd be surprised, it's actually fairly roomy...

Yes I store 2 blankets, 2 top quilts, 3 pillows & the ladder

It's as far forward on my bed rack that it can go & it hangs over by 20". I'm not to worried about support for that part, the fiberglass shell is pretty sturdy .
