What part of SD are you in?

Yes saw all the new laws pass, horrible! Part of the reason we left.
I celebrated with a new rifle and suppressor :)

Escondido! I can pretty easily declare residency in AZ, so I'm not too worried.

Ok, I'm ordering a damn suspension kit this weekend. Which would y'all order:

Fox kit from Headstrong w/ TC UCAs, $2964:
    • FOX 2.5 Factory Coilovers w/resi (880-02-376 or 880-06-376 / Extended 880-02-418 or 880-06-418) – Preset for 2” lift (for 2016 models 1" lift)
    • FOX 2.0 Performance extended length rear shocks w/resi (985-24-118 or 985-26-118)
    • OME Dakar Leaf packs (CS047R) with ubolts and bushings for shackle side
    • Extended length rear brake lines
    • OME carrier bearing drop kits (FK29)
    • Upper Control Arm options (needed for extended length COs) - Select from drop down below
    Icon stage 3 @ $2115
    Icon stage 4 @ $2355
    Or Icon stage 5 @ $2715

not really sure how the icons stack up to Fox? I do like the idea of using Dakars instead of an AAL though.

    Hahaha, doesn't help!

From what it looks like, the fox kit is comparable to the stage 4, with both having 2.5 r/r coilovers, and 2.0 r/r rears, and tubular UCAs..... And then the stage 5 just has the same as stage 4, but with 2.5 rears, correct?

I actually don't know shit about Icon, but back in my ranger days I only wanted to run Kings or Fox. But then had a TBI and forgot a ton of stuff that I used to know about suspension and don't have the patience to do specs on piecing together my own kit now, so have been looking for something pre made.

Plus, those Icon kits are dirt cheap right now. Might just grab a stage 4 and then throw Dakars on instead of the AAL.

I probably won't be buying for a while but if anybody sees a good deal on some coilovers for first gen let me know. I'm thinking bumper first then I'm going to try to find a set. Probably going to go with King or Fox non rr.

Well Icon and Fox are going to ride completely different due to the different types of valving. Icons are stiff at slow speeds where King is soft at slow speeds. Some of us, myself included, have very strong negative opinions about Icon's preference in valving. So my personal vote would be towards Fox, ADS, or King.

I don't think you can rebuild fox. I know you can with King.

2.0 rear shocks aren't serviceable. But coilovers and 2.5 rear shocks are.

Agreed on ADS and King. I had a pal with Icons on a 1st Gen tundra and although the ride was as expected, they weren't durable and he ended up with Kings less than 2 months later.

NM, someone on my FB that I knew from RDC and DR just told me that Icon used to be Donahoe Racibg.

Not sure if he still makes money off sales, but fuck Kreg Donahoe.

Just drove through Esco today on my way home from Carlsbad. Beach weather this morning rocked, had a sweet beach cruiser ride this AM.
