I just want to be clear before purchasing.
    @allpro @Tracy@All-Pro Off Road

Do these come standard with a kick out?

Are these bolt-on? If so, is drilling required?

    Thanks.

So, there was a group buy a couple months ago and I totally jumped on that. I have an 02 double cab so I needed the longer 80" ones. They do come with the "signature kick out" and have the option to be bolted on if you do NOT plan on using them for rock sliding (using them as side steps, the bolting on method should be fine) or as a jacking point. I decided on welding mine on. I already had a welder and didn't really wanna drill a crap ton of holes in my frame.

Just be sure when you install, have sufficient clearance for unbolting your front fender (the 2 most rear bolts). I had a horrendous creaking when accelerating and slowing down and it was traced out to the bolt/stud that held my stock fender flair in place rubbing on the slider. I have since mitigated that problem with fiberglass fenders and removing the stud.

Thanks. On the website, it doesn't give me an option to chose weld or bolt on. Thanks for the answers though, I appreciate it.

However, for actual OffRoad use, you recommend welding them on? Is the bolt on method not able to handle the stress?

Correct. If you were going to use them for their intended purpose, welding them is the way to go. It will be stronger and you will be happier with having them welded if you have to use them for a jacking point or pushing rocks and trees out of your way

Do you have a side shot of them, to how close they line up to the fenders?

Correct. 1st gen frame is mostly boxed-section, I.e. single wall. Bolt-on attachment can cause tearout.

Thank you guys. I appreciate the responses. I hadn't planned on purchasing weld on sliders, so I'll have to find a trusted welder out here.

Nice, always been a fan of your truck ever since I saw it when I first joined the site.

    Are those all pro sliders?

Yes they are! I like them, they aren't angled to high and they're not flat. Very happy with them.

However, if you want them to sit higher on the frame when you weld them you have to bend the pinch weld up where the legs of the sliders go.

Id recommend checking out a Lincoln Pro Mig 140. they are only about $500 (less for a used one with accessories on craigslist) and you can plug into 110v on a 20 amp circuit. I welded my bumpers together and my sliders on my truck with a Lincoln Weldpak 125 hd.

If I got that, I'd have the Pro Mig and not the sliders haha. I have no place to store the thing, and I can't weld for crap anyways. Maybe in the future I'll try to learn, but for now, I'll have someone who knows what they're doing weld mine on.

Is the group buy still available? If so, I need the 80" model, price?

Nope. that group buy is long over. I do believe they a vendor and might offer a slight discount if you are a TW member, but don't quote me on that. check their vendor thread and see whats up. I absolutely love how mine turned out on my double cab.

Also, they are weld on only if memory serves me right. Mine had holes if I wanted to bolt on, but I had a welder so naturally...:laser:
