Stock bumper/ flares/ mud flaps. 2"rear lift with 285s. I guess it's so inspectors/ cops know that you are required to have them for recon.
As far as I know the mud flap rule for recon hasn't changed. Even though a lot of stock cars wouldn't pass their version of the rule. (Coverage for full width and half the height of the tire)

In regards to the headlights, if it's a different colored bulb then the factory bulb, they will fail you.

Finally got my 255/85-16 km2's from Costco. Now I just need to get them mounted and get an alignment for my recon. I've used Island Brake and Alignment before but I'd like to use someone closer to Kaimuki if can. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

20160616_152815.jpg Anyone have a set of mud flaps that I could borrow to put on my '16 to pass recon. Everything else was a go.

I'm interested to know how these will fit. when I was looking at all the 255/85's, KM2's were by far the tallest (33.4" I think?) and narrowest.

Did you '16 come with mud flaps? If not, they shouldn't be required.

I don't think it matters if it came with them or not, I believe you need them regardless for both safety and recon.

City and County of Honolulu, ROH Chapter, Sec. 15-19.32 Mudguards required.
"No person shall operate on any highway any motor vehicle, trailer or semi-trailer unless equipped with fenders, covers, or devices, including flaps or splash aprons, or unless the body of the vehicle or attachments thereto afford adequate protection to effectively minimize the spray or splash of water or mud to the rear of the vehicle. (Sec. 15-19.32, R.O. 1978 (1983 Ed.))"

So, off the lot (without modifying the suspension), it can be interpreted as "adequate protection"; however, once you lift the '16 Taco...mudflaps are required.:frusty::goingcrazy:

Cub, I'll definitely post some pics after I get them on. Still hoping to get some recommendations for a shop to get them mounted and than an alignment.

    Recommendations:
Mod Industries (David) for mounting and balancing.
Unibodytech (Ken) in Mapunapuna for alignment.

David is usually busy and doesn't pick up the phone. Best thing to do is just stop by during business hours and talk to him. And see what his availability is for mount/balance wheels/tires.

@HiFire.... why wouldn't costco mount them???

With my KO2s, I had Waipahu Goodyear mount and balance. Look for @Vanguard 's contact over there. A little cheaper... I usually go to scottys for alignment. Just had my KO2s balanced and rotated at costco for like $23.... I could have rotated myself, but for $20, I'll pay... I also have a set of dyna beads sitting in the garage that I haven't even opened yet... a couple of guys use those, and like them a lot...

I thought they don't mount bigger than stock sizes? or like a certain percentage over stock? I know Costco Kapolei said they would mount 285's if I got them, so I dunno if it's just up to the discretion of whoever is there, and not like a hard coporate rule.
