I'm looking into buying an older Tacoma from another state. I'm not able to be there to inspect the vehicle myself and was hoping to rely on a service to help me with identifying issues.

Does anyone have recommendations or feedback for any specific used car buying inspection services? I've looked into a few but am not feeling the warm and fuzzy about any particular company at this point.

Ok, so I have seen the service offered by ebay which isnt really an inspection service, its called we go look or something like that. Doesnt sound like they have any mechanical expertise. Lemon squad sounds ok, alliance inspection management (AIM) sounds the best...

anyone with any experience with any service at all...

I've never heard of a company that does this exclusively, but I do know that most independent shops will send out a mechanic to look/check out a vehicle with you for their hourly rate. I'm sure if you called up a reputable one in the area that the truck is located in that they'd do that for you, they would be getting paid after all. Only thing you'd have to do on your end is the research into the area and find a reputable shop.

I've had this done before. Google "Pre-Purchase Inspection"

Have you tried asking the rest of the TW community? Someone here might be able to go and check it out for you... Just a thought.
