Addressing some rust issues while waiting for the rest of my suspension kit
It's like the first stage of cancer. Gonna wire wheel all rusty welds and re paint with POR 15. Easier to get at with bumper and wheels off.

This is going to be a little underwhelming for you guys with those fancy aftermarket wheels. I bought my '15 Taco almost a year ago and I was really tired of looking at the steel wheels so I bought a set of alloy take-offs from one of the fancy wheel guys:D.

So after some adventures with lug nuts and some TPMS silliness, here is the new look:

If he keeps moving, it shouldn't. It's when you stop and sit in it that it leaks in. Ask me how I know

Well... Washed it and decided not to mount the VIAIR 440P in the D Side truck bed compartment and instead carry it on that side behind the rear seats

Now thinking of other things to put in those compartments

When you installed those did you have to drill through the hood or how did you install them?

Unless you get water in your truck during the rain, you wouldn't get any during a water crossing like this

Finished up a carpeted platform yesterday afternoon, and then had a SNUGTOP installed shortly after.

    Same as everybody else...
Changed the oil and filter at 75k miles. Previously I ran Quaker State Ultimate Durability but Wallys World had M1 High Mileage at the same price so I thought I'd give it a shot. While I was crawling under the truck I tried to loosen the diff fill but even with a breaker bar she ain't budging. Looks like I'm gonna have to invest in a impact wrench. I'm a little over the 30k service and I don't want to run it too much longer.
I was going to wash and wax her but the wife wants to go out for dinner so it will have to wait.

    Nothing noteworthy
No drilling. I got the brackets by a vendor on here. They were from Famous Fabrication. I like these brackets (they are called hood-hinge brackets) because for installation, all you have to do is to unscrew two bolts on each hood hinge and put these brackets in and re-bolt. The pods do not hit the windshield when you open the hood and brackets are super stout. Some brackets position the pods where they could hit the windshield when you open the hood and some may require other modifications but there are other companies who make these and would install similar to mine. Not sure if these guys are still around but if they are, I would grab a pair if I were you.

I know this is from a couple weeks ago but I gotta say I am way more upset about the huge tracks that will last decades in the playa than I am your your friend getting stuck in it. Mistakes happen for sure but tread lightly, keep these places wild and open to everyone.

For some content I installed a Pop and Lock today to replace the handle I broke in Nevada! Love it so far, super simple install.

Couldn't agree more. We came through 25 miles of hard playa without incident just before this happened.
