Any info on the 2017 tacomas

Got an email from my dealership today, build date of 08/10 with my build sheet and is expecting it to arrive before end of August, woo!

 

Congrats! From looking at your build sheet, I see its coming with the black bezel headlights. This is the second time I've seen this as a listed options for the TRD OR. Hopefully it is true because they look way better than the chrome bezel ones. Any mention of power rear slider?

Yeah, I would like that on mine as well. I did see that he is getting 3 - Qi-compatible Wireless Smrtphone Chrgng (must be a misprint) lol

 

My build sheet has it on there 3 times too. Mine also says black bezels on the headlights. Anyone know what those look like?

 

I too ordered the same vehicle on 7/16. Was told that I would have the first 17 model allocated for their dealership and would take delivery late August to mid Sept.

 

The black bezel headlights are the ones that come on the TRD Pro Tacoma.

Yeah my salesman told me mid-late August if it's built on time. I ordered a 2016 on 04/23/16. If it arrives on 08/23 it'll be exactly 4 months from my order and deposit date.

I didn't even notice that! I like the black much better than the chrome in the picture you showed. Did the 2016 build sheet say chrome bezels? I didn't ask about a rear slider, but according to the build sheet it doesn't look like it's on there.

I saw that QI charging on there all those time sn too and was confused. Hopefully one of those is a misprint for a rear sliding window

 

Must be me... I don't see a difference... can someone explain it to me like I am a six year old?

 

It is hard to see in these pictures but basically the chrome is replaced with black in the background.

Well, I heard from the dealer today. I've got the date my ordered truck was built...7/15/16...
Any one want to guess or think they know what year this truck is going to be??????????

I'm gonna guess 2017. I heard the TSB for auto transmission was fixed on any trucks built after 07/14/16, and the TSB is only for 2016s. Obviously just speculation but I'm curious. You should have it soon then!

 

Well I am told 2016...I doubt that he could be wrong, he is looking at the computer.
But I am thinking of cancelling and waiting for a '17 .... another 12 week wait?????

Yeah I wasn't quite sure what to expect but if he has a computer and that's what he's basing his decision off of, then 2016 it is. I would have thought 2017.

I don't think there are can't changes other than a price increase so your call.

 

I guess it depends on the dealership and their allocations. I order mine 7/5/2016 and it will be a 2017. I waiting to get a build sheet with official pricing and vin which the dealer says should be any day now.

 

His truck was already built on 07/15/16, yours wasn't built yet
