That would be awesome, Tracy! I figured you guys were probably cranking as much as you can, since I'm assuming you're heading to the Overland Expo this weekend.

The racks are now at the powder coat shop, so it's all coming together. Hopefully the lift and the RTT setup will be pretty much done in a few weeks, at which point I'll definitely post up some pics and capture it in my build thread.

    Thanks again!

That looks like a great idea! I'll pass it on to our engineer and the owner and see what they think!

Here's a couple pictures of my finished rack. I cut the rack cab height and then added removable crossbars, so my kayaks clear the cab. When I'm not hauling the boats I just remove the crossbars.

I see on your website these are available for the 2016's dclb. I didn't see on your ordering page what heights they are available in for the 2016's, looked like it was just the standard height? Also any pictures of the racks on 2016's from sideview

    Thanks

Oops I just realized you were asking for a long bed picture.

That works, I mainly wanted to see the height on the back of the truck of one. I would want it decreased by 4", so that a RTT wouldn't be sticking up all the way above the cab. I've thought about just going with load bars, but that puts the tent to low, and ruins the use of the bed. Grrr, frustrating, I'm looking at about 4 different options, all have pro's/cons.

The pack rack can be lowered a few inches. The vertical bars just need cut.

That would be greatly appreciated! Still trying to figure out my bed storage needs/wants, never would have thought it would be this difficult. With my tundra, I had a bedside and a tonneau cover and could carry everything as the bed seemed like a bottomless pit. With the tacoma, not so much. Need to be a bit more thoughtful to maximum efficiency over a bunch of different uses (scuba, mountain biking, storage, camping, work)

At what height is this pack rack at?

I'd want it as low as it could go while still able to take rotopax and the gear rack. This picture looks to do that.

Also, does anybody know if, with the gear rack installed, is there enough clearance for 48 gallon action packers so slide underneath? Or, could somebody tell me the clearance height underneath the gear rack?

    Thanks for any input.

Here's quick shot of the rack. This is "Cab height", which is actually slightly lower which was good for me. This is also the aluminum version which might have a different dimension than the steel. The 48s don't fit under, but I'll measure it for you.

What did you end up using for the 'floor' of the gear rack? Thanks!

Nothing yet, just got it all put together. It does need a floor unless you're gonna go with the smaller action packers like they have in the pics. I might work an aluminum tray with drain holes.

48 Gal APs are 20.5" tall.

I ended up making my own basket setup with a roof rack and a pair of aluminum extrusion bars, sitting on some angle aluminum and bolted to the rail system using the bedrack's mounting plates. My APs slide under with about 1.5" of clearance. This works almost perfect for my needs. Now I just need a sliding mechanism for the basket.

Don't think that's possible due to the way it mounts.

    18.5" AllPro Pack rack
Yakima Timberline Towers W/ 66" Yakima round bars
ARB 2500 Awning monted with LabRack awning mounts.
    Rotopax fuel and water cans

I have the Yakima round bars offset to the passenger side to snug the awning up against the truck and to make it easier to put my bike up there when I'm carrying it. A downside of the LabRack mounts is that they can only be used on the bar ends. I will eventually have a RTT up there and a small ARB awning mounted on the rear of the rack. I don't like the look of the large ARB awning on our trucks but FUCK CANCER.
