Im not sure about all the rest but TC1601 is the OP CODE. It says it on the first page of the TSB paper. My paper work has that on it as well.

My paperwork doesnt have the T1-26 and T2-99 though.

When I made my appointment over the phone I clearly stated I was bringing it in for the TSB update on the transmission, when I arrived the service advisor had in his records I was coming in for a 10k mile service. Amazing the amount of disconnect between customers and dealers. They really need to hire more intelligent people.

Only cure for trip meter resets is to replace cluster. Dealer ordered mine Wednesday. I copied the receipt from another TW poster and it helped me. Just be persistent. At first dealer did not want to go there. I emailed them, and Toyota Corporate, the receipt from the other poster. It got me a new cluster just like the other poster.

Head over to Toyota El Cajon and ask for Mark Anthony if you haven't had it done yet. I had it done today, and didn't have replicate the issues in front of a tech.

note: my service advisor said he does not have access information to TSBs on his computer. Only the techs have the access to TSB information.

I guess I just don't get worked up about things like stickers. It drives better now and the person who buys it from me in 10 years (or my son) isn't going to give a rusty lug-nut about a sticker. I haven't even checked.

I'm certainly not their easiest customer, but I've never had any significant issue with them. They are not perfect, but they really seem to want to make me happy. From what I understand, service writers are not technicians, so sometimes they get things wrong out of ignorance. Sometimes I get things wrong. We both have the same goal: get my vehicle back to me as soon as possible and make me happy with the results. Note: I usually work with Joel, but I've probably had all of them at some point (except the newer guys)

Today the Service Manager told me that "We've had a couple other Tacoma's in for the same update and they seemed happy with the results." (or something to that effect). I laughed to myself because all three of us are here on Tacoma World apparently.

LMAO, thats bad bro. I don't work for Toyota, but the body shop I manage does the majority of the local dealers work. Needless to say, we get a free subscription to TIS (Toyota Information Service). It's very similar to the software the dealer service advisors run, and even I have access to TSB's.

I had a similar experience where it started doing a lot better at about 7k miles. The only trigger I can think of is that we took a trip up to mountains and spent a week with a heavily loaded truck going up and down grades with the AC blasting. I had my foot in it a lot over that time and I wonder if it "learned" that I wanted more power. When I got back to my normal routine, my gas mileage seems to be improved but I don't have enough clean data to prove that. It was better, but I still had all the issues. The TSB still made a significant improvement in my limited testing so far (just got done today).
