    I should've seen that coming :facepalm:haha

btw, when I was doing Rowher from the back end a couple weekends ago, I recognized the exit we came out of when we left Drinkwater...the one we missed on the 4th. In our defense though, on the 4th it was getting dark and we were in a hurry, lol.

@SlipperyTaco @Thesandaddict @Mike likes Tacos did you guys get an evacuation notice?

My landlord just forwarded me an email saying that the Little Tujunga/Gold Creek area is under evacuation notice, an evac center has been setup in case the situation gets worse

It's preliminary from what it sounds like, nothing serious yet but I didn't think it was coming this way. Anyhow, just a heads up.

Hey Guys, Rowher will be just fine. It is moving the other way. I live just off the 14 Fwy North of Sand Canyon.
I went outside a little after 2pm to test a solar fan for my garage and saw this.

Within 15 minutes it was racing past my house. With luck the freeway between and wind direction let it pass buy.

Now the winds have died down and it is snowing ashes all around. The smoke outside is unbearable and now it is getting bad in the house. Luckily the area that is burning has very little structures but with the multi year drought we are use to fires.

I have to add my appreciation to the firefighters. While I was briefly testing my solar fan I didn't want to stay out there very long. It was 111 degrees at the time and topped out at 113. While I went outside many times to check up on the fire I quickly went back into the house to cool back down. The guys fighting the fire were likely over that and had no option to run into an air conditioned house.

I have a Davis weather station and it is one of the most accurate so the temps given are not an exaduration.
