When I did mine I butted them edge to edge. I don't think there is a right or wrong way to do it, as long as you get the coverage you want and your happy with how it turns out is what matters.

I had even read something that you don't even need to cover all the metal. Will try to find the post.

Did my doors with Shok Mat the other day.
Was great to use. No mess, easy to cut (esp. with the grid pattern on the foil). Was actually kinda fun to work with.
Doors sound "real" when they close now and the sound out of the speakers is so much better. Much more clarity than before.
Well worth the time spent doing this.
    Thanks John @manethon

    My pleasure fellas,
The ease of use and quality of this product is exactly why I love it!

No need to over lap really, no point.
If your only doing a deadener treatment then butting them up edge to edge works fantastic w this stuff.

Sorry for not getting back to things faster, working 16 hour days right now is taking a toll!

Any tips to getting your level of badass coverage on the inside of the door? How many sheet did you use for all 4 doors?

Cut the pieces into manageable strips that will fit through your openings. It's really done by feel because you can't see alot of it. Doing the doors is the hardest part. I don't know how many sheets it takes to do 4 doors, I know it's been discussed here before, you might look at the first couple of pages of this thread and find your answer.

No real tips on getting good coverage other than measure and divide for easier installation. I used 13 and 1/4 sheets to do inside and out of the doors. The last door wasn't near as "pretty" because I used all the pieces left over. I'll post some pics and sheets used on floor and lid when I get around to doing it. Probably next weekend. Giving my fingers a little break from pushing that stuff into corners haha.

Back panel, floor, doors, and ceiling covered. Doors, back panel, and rear seating/storage area were by far the most time consuming. Cutting all the holes and shaping the pieces was a pain in the ass. It took me about 3 days to finish. Knowing what I know now, I think I could probably do it in 2 or less. Thanks @manethon for hooking it up with the group buy!

For those of you who have already done it, is it easier to do in cooler temps?
