I had a blow out in my '13 Tacoma 4x4 long bed a few days ago. I put the spare on it and took the truck up to NTB for a replacement. The tire was the original Goodrich Rugged Trail T/A and I was going to buy two, thinking that next month I'll buy the other two. The tires are getting worn and inspection is due next month.

I called before going and was told that they had them in stock. When I got there I was told that they had the Rugged Terrain, which has a different tread pattern. I was frustrated but was told that the store a few miles away had two and that he would call and have them hold them for me. I made the drive and when I got there they had already sold them and there were no more to be had in the Austin area.

By now I'm really pissed. I get home and go online to the Round Rock Toyota Service Center and follow the link to the tire center. I plug in the info for my truck and it brings up a list of tires that fit, sure enough there it is BF Goodrich Rugged Trai T/A 265/70R16. Great, I order two and proceed to book an appointment.

I get a call this morning from the Service Center (after having dropped the truck off the night before) and was told that not only do they not have that particular tire, but they do not have ANY tires in stock that would fit my truck. WTF!

I got a ride, picked up my truck and went to Discount tire. Ended up getting four new Hanook DynaPro 265/65R16's I idn't want to get all four at the same time but had to bite the bullet and get it done.

Has anyone used these tires and what do you think?

I haven't used them but bet they are better than stock! Btw the Bfg rugged terrain is a great tire. I ran those before the Bfg km2s I have now. Good luck!

when I got my '08 Taco a few months ago, it had 16000 miles on it, and still had the original Rugged Trail tires, which still had half their tread but were looking their 8 years, so I immediately replaced all 5 tires with LT265/70R16 KO2's. awesome tires, only downside is the cost.

The Hanook's ride nice and quiet on the highway and have a good pattern for light off road, which was what I was looking for. Once the truck is paid off I will start customizing beyond window trim and floor mats!
