2016 ACLB SR 4x4 MT Utility Package Black
TRDOR wheels, sheepskin seat, cruise and intermittent wipers, curt hitch
No 4x4 4 cylinder MT in double cab --> that was the biggest factor. Utility package is great value for money.
Also, nice to have 6 feet+ bed to actually haul stuff. Garden tractor, motor cycle, lumber etc.
I never have more than one more person in my vehicles (no kids).

Well to start with, the DC actually doesn't yield more space than the AC. It may be slightly less uncomfortable since the rear seats are reclined, but the space from the back of the rear seat to the driver's seat is actually about the same. The difference in the length of the cab is lost in the thickness of the seat back.

So advantage of AC: 6-foot-bed without having to go crazy long as with a DCLB, and wider door openings thanks to the so-called "suicide" doors. This comes into play when you are loading something from the passenger side with the front passenger seat folded flat, you can actually get something bigger through the opening with both doors opened. THIRD advantage: The unstoppable and fuel efficient 2TR-FE 4-cyl engine, which isn't available in DC.

Three old mountain bikers wouldn't fit in an AC.

I would have gotten the long bed with my DoubleCab, however I wouldn't have been able to park in the garage by 5 freakin inches! rats.

JBL sound system only comes in the DoubleCab and I really wanted it. However, I used to have the AccessCab and I miss always taking other people's cars when going places with friends...now my truck is an option to take everybody (rats).

My tacos have never been in the garage.

In the south and at sea level, we can't have basements so our garages hold all of our storage so cars fill the driveways.

never thought of that. We love our basements here in Missouri. However, I have friends/relative with basements that owns so much stuff/junk, that they still have to park in the driveway!

Yep, lived in Montana, Wyoming and Iowa, always had basements for storage and the cars went in the garage.

Not here, I have a two car garage to store one car and the rest of my crap like bikes, tool chests and paddleboards on the other side. I also have a 12 X 18 yard shed for the yard tools.

Traded a 2010 AC for a 2012 DC - just needed that extra room inside. When we decided to get a new truck there was no question since we use it as an everyday vehicle and don't go rock crawling - DC all the way.
