Ordered a Rough Country 3in lift for $260 and Toyota explained to me that if something went out because of the lift it would void the warranty so I would have to replace it. So I decided to send the lift back, although My Toyota dealership installs the ReadyLift 3in lift/leveling kit and it would cost over $900 before taxes. A little pricy to me but it would keep all factory warranty so it would be worth it. Although spending that much on the lift I really don't have the money to buy fuel aftermarket wheels, so I am considering having the lift done and putting BF Goodrich 265/70R17 on the stock wheels. Does anyone else have this setup? Any input?

Magnusson vs US warranty they have to prove that the lift cause the issue so you were told only half the story

Buy once cry once. Don't put a cheap ass spacer lift on a $35,000-$40,000 truck. I just don't get it, save up some money and do it right the first time with a minimum of a Bilstein 5100 front and rear lift.

For $900 that's almost enough for an ome lift.

Yes I would prefer that. I know what they are saying about if something went out Toyota would have to prove it was the lift, but how? I want to keep the warranty because they said lifts break or wear out the power steering pump which would cost over $2000 to fix

Well I'm on my 6 Tacoma with a 3 inch front 2 inch rear lift and never had any issues with power steering that's interesting they would tell you that they just want you the drop $1000.00 plus install with them like stated above do it right and you will not have any issues_20160330_124128.jpg IMG_20160408_182135.jpg Screenshot_2016-03-22-08-36-29.jpg

If something is installed by the dealer as an aftermarket item they will usually cover it as part of the warranty. Kind of makes sense for them to do this. If you mess something up while installing the lift its not their responsibility to warranty it.

    OME 887 w/Bilstein 5100's, 1.5 AAL, SPC LR UCAs 285/75/r16 Toyo AT2s!
You can buy OME coils with 5100s and a add a leaf for 600 bucks or less!!! And add SPC
LR uca for another 475-500 and you have a wayy more badass lift that is actually good for off-road !
