Shipping for 3 6" targets was $6 (per one of the purchasers on MSGO), not bad for supporting a Mississippian.

Nope, I bought from the same vendor you linked. But you gotta figure it's only $3 cheaper, for the 3/8" plate, than what you linked. 3/8" is good for .308w, 7.62 NATO and 54r, or smaller. But you need to be far enough away that the velocity on impact is under 2900fps. IIRC, 100 yards should about do it on most hunting and surplus rounds.

That's on par with Amazon's. Not a bad deal at all keeping it in state. Does he do thicker steel?

Yeah, the biggest caliber I currently have is .308/6.8spc, but most of my shooting is .22LR, 5.56, and pistol calibers.

If we want to shoot at closer distances with "big game calibers" we just use junk steel and weld up the holes/dents.

I'm hoping to get a range set up where i can shoot 100-300 yards but the furthest I can shoot right now is ~92 yards.

I'll ask, all I've heard so far is 3/8"

The furthest I can shoot is about 90 yards, too. It sucks. I have a plan to set up a shooting house to get another 30 yards, but it's not worth the effort because I'd have to get a load of dirt to build it on. Two years ago I had a guy come clean some lanes in the woods behind my house but the land lay didn't allow for more than about a 50 yard shot...and that's on top of a lean to stand.

It's so aggravating, I'm used to SoCal where I could shoot 200+ yards if I wanted to (Never really wanted to) and now I'm extremely limited.

My dad has 87 acres that we're gonna build a house and shop on, once we get that built I will be adding a rifle range, it may take some doing with the lay of our land (Low and wet) but I think I'll be able to get it with a D3, backhoe and bush hog.
And for dirt moving we just got this, now we just need our CDL's

I called the Forestry Service in Wiggins and the lady said we can ride any of the Forestry roads in Desoto National Forest but it does get used for hunting during the seasons. I've been out checking most of the roads in North Harrison County and have had some fun. Nothing too dangerous, I'm still all stock so I don't want to get too deep or stuck. But, there are a lot of dirt roads with plenty of mud if you look. And, they're free to travel.

Wait, which beach have you been on? I thought the MS beaches were off limits. I e been DYING to try out this TRD OR CRAWL mode (and show off a bit too, lol). But I need to make sure I have some recovery assistance on hand in the form of a TW member or two. My luck, the damn thing will actually stay stuck!

Desoto NF is cool for short rides. Mostly just gravel/dirt roads and some mud but I'll definitely hit you up when I go back out. I'll be out of town his week but next week looks good any day after Monday.

Yeah, I'd be down and I've got a strap to help out. I haven't found a truck friendly beach in MS, but I do go in St. Augustine, FL sometimes for long weekends.

Does anyone crawl RCs? I had a Honcho and it's evolved into a tuber type crawler. I'm putting together an Axial Bomber right now.

I'm in meridian and I've never heard of anyone riding trails out that way. Not to say people haven't. Most of the stuff around here has been beat up by full size trucks with big mud tires haha

Hey, does anyone know a place down by the coast that will give you a good deal on used tires? I've got about 12k miles on mine and wouldn't mind getting some cash to throw towards the new ones.
