Arrg! looks like my Magikarp hunt leaves me at 387 today. Here's to hoping I get enough to make a high level Gyrados by Friday.

 

Anyone understand this badge? I have 67 magikarp candies and one in my bag so I think that means I've caught 17 magikarps but why does this badge say 1?

 

Catch it near water I assume

 

I'm going to wait until I get a 160+ magikarp

 

I noticed there was a badge I got for catching 3 Rattata's....then come to find out they needed to be XS Rattata's.

 

I've seen that one. I think they have to be single digit weight to count

Well, I have avoided these threads because I can't play Pokemon go (windows phone ). Plus the huge burst of supposed "Pokemon fans" got annoying for a bit. I'll be getting a new phone next month so I am stoked to play it.

In the meantime I figured I would pull out my GBC and Pokemon red to get a refresher and relive my awesome childhood. I do this once a year, normally with a friend so we can trade/battle. My gf is interested so I might switch to soul silver and heart gold for the DS since I have two systems to play on and I can destroy her.

Anyways, here for the bs and see what Pokemon go is all about.

 

I play on my GBC every once and a while too. Pulled mine out last week and it still had batteries in it. I was so scared they were going to explode in there and ruin all my fun. I always try and take the batteries out of things I know I won't use that often. It actually even turned on before I took them out. Must've been super batteries..

Anyway - you will be at quite the disadvantage when you finally get to play Pokemon Go but you might also get in at the right time when they finally fix all their server issues and have smooth sailing unlike the rest of us who have had to endure with the unstable game play since we discovered it

 

Night on the town to celebrate hitting 20. Took over 2 gyms and hatched 4 eggs. Luckily one egg was useful (jigglypuff)

 

43k xp in 30 minutes from the lucky egg and mass evolve, also hatched this cute lil fat boy

 

My highest Pikachu is 339 and I though that was beast. 507 is pretty insane. You've had some good luck with arc. I'm only 16 though so that probably plays into it.

 

My wife and I are playing. We live in Socal and have been to Santa Monica Pier. That place was full of new pokemon to us, but the cell reception was shit due to all the people playing on the pier and in the area around it so it crashed more than 10 times. It crashed on me when catching a Golduck and a Ghastly and didn't give them to me. Really pissed me off.

I don't have a Pikachu. My wife has several. She wasn't teaching summer school during the last month and got a lot of stuff while I was teaching every day

I'm level 17, but I'm more into leveling than catching rare pokemons.
