Originally not Expo AF! Kinda Expo AF now...lame.
They still weigh a few thousand pounds, and he got him on the corner. Had it been head on it would have likely done far less damage.

I'd like to see the Mini...you didn't happen to take a picture of that did you?

Toyota likely subcontracts to the lowest bidder for body work.

It's at a Toyota collision center. The dealership I bought it from has their own body shop. And as for parting it out I won't be able to because the insurance would own it

The truck took way more damage than the mini. That's actually mildly depressing

I pick the budget truck up on Friday and will be on the road towards Colorado Saturday morning.

    why?

I'd rather have the truck crumble to pieces and I walk away unscathed than the truck not absorbing the impact and resulting in me getting hurt.

Cars are safer nowadays because they are designed to absorb impact.

Alright! See ya when you get here. What about your truck? Are you going to replace it once you get to Colorado?

If they do total it out we're going to end up getting another truck. I'm not sure if it will be a taco or not though. If they repair it I'll keep it until the wheels fall off because I'll never get any value out of it again.

Frame replacement means they will total it. Start thinking about another truck.

That frame will definitely straighten with the right frame machine and some time. You could weld some plate on and make the back of the frame fully boxed, effectively having it better than new once complete.

So the insurance company adjuster seems to think the frame can be repaired. The certified Toyota repair shop is prohibited by Toyota to repair frames after a certain point, which mine is completely jacked up. This is the beginning of a long up hill battle I can feel it. Side note. To replace a frame it costs $13,000 if anyone wanted to know

A guy from the shop found me on Facebook and is sending me up to date pictures of the process. He said some of be frame welds have busted and chipped paint off the frame at the weld joints. Notice the pink marks on the frame and the rest of what's left of the truck.

What the insurance company wants, usually wins. (No total)

    None (Its just fine!)
I own the same size Tacoma and I already had a White TRD Sport DBCB 2016 for 8 months as well.
I am quite surprise of what kind of damages a Mini Cooper has done...
Fell lucky it was not a F350! I am not impress at all by the way the Tacoma swell forward on this accident from such a small car.
Toyota work hard on their special front bumper that it supposed to minimise injury to a cyclist on collision but I think that they forget to work on the back end... At least on the frame size!
I swap my TRD Sport for a TRD OffRoad mainly for Off Road functions that were not on the Sport version.
I like it pretty much but there is no spare for a full size pickup whatever is the brand.
