I would think that only being a concern if you are not running skids?

The ride quality is a tad bit better when on the highway... But around town and hitting cracks/potholes it's a bit jarring.... I am really hoping The 881 coils soften up a bit after riding on them for a couple days

As promised, here's a pic of my freshly lifted '04 with OME 881s up front and Headstrong 3 leaf AALs in the rear (and 5100s all around).

She's got an inch or two of rake in the rear, but I don't particularly mind it. These trucks came with a factory rake anyway and when I get my topper in the future it'll settle it down some. I left the overload leafs in, otherwise it would probably have come out level.

So far the ride is great, much improved over the stock 1st gen TRD setup. Doesn't feel any stiffer to me at all, and I can cruise over speed bumps now at normal speed without slowing down. My stock setup was more jarring to be honest. Going wheeling this weekend at Pilot Rock through some reportedly tough trails, will report back with how the set-up performs off-road.

You never reported back on how your truck wheeled at Pilot Rock w/ your new set up. How'd it handle those tough trails? @eon_blue

sorry lol, forgot to report back. Suspension is handling the wheeling I do just fine, it's nothing to write home about but it gets the job done for the price point. My only real regret (other than not blowing another $2k on Kings that I can't afford, lol) is that I should've gone with a taller OME coil rather than the 881s. I need another inch in the front to level out the truck as the rake in the rear is too high for my taste. I have the 5100s set to 0 currently and might just have them raised up a notch to help with that. I suspect in another year or so I will probably be upgrading my suspension entirely to something better suited for higher speeds off-road, the 5100/OME setup is great for a stock quality lift but I'm finding myself wanting more travel and ability to hit the trails a little harder than I'm able to with this setup.
