FWP Fab Locked Longbed Project & Rubbishery

Ive got some danscomp closeout grips on it now and I ride with gloves and my gloves ruined my grips and the grips ruined my gloves. Now they get really sticky on my hands when I sweat and it gets annoying. I think I'm gonna try some animals.

 

Ordered a relentless fabrication front steel bumper today!!

 

haha i know the pain... I like the kink samurai grips. They are thin but they grip well, and you can never go wrong with ODI super soft grips! They come with free bar ends also! I think every company has a version of them...

 

installed but not working...(edit: Working like a champ now!! Turned out to be the amp.)
Tech support confirmed that the DSP unit maybe defective due to the behavior. I am getting sound to the doors but nothing from the subs. Sometimes the subs will work, but then when i start the truck again nothing. I think something with the software on the unit is bad. Returning the DSP to Amazon and purchasing another.

 

Im trying to get it ready for some trails. Not that i plan on doing anything crazy but its nice to have the peace of mind. Also maybe people will question pulling out in front of me on the roads...

This thing @RedBeard1 made is awesome! It is a portable misting device! Im going to make one myself! I just have to remember the fittings to make the adapter from the sprayer to the misting hose.

I'm headed out there this Wed. How far did y'all drive down? I've only driven about 25 miles but I'd like to drive all 60 miles. Were the mosquitoes bad?

 

I did not go all the way down. I went probably 75% and had to turn back for gas! Make sure you have a full tank before you go onto the beach...

Also got my front steel bumper in the other day. I had it sent to my friends shop and this is what was dropped off...
On the phone my friend told me it looked like UPS dropped it out of a tree. He sent the following pictures...

I like how there is a fragile sticker on a box full of steel, and the inspect for damage before accepting.

Here is the good side...

and the damaged side. This was easily fixed with a wrench, not a big deal but still sucks...

It will be a couple weeks before this gets worked on, and then its going for black powder coat, then installed. But first the lift before the bumper! And then an alignment... And then, and then , and then it never stops!

 

Lift was installed this Saturday after 64400 miles!! Thanks again to @xJuice! Got lucky and it drives pretty straight. Alignment coming after front bumper is installed.

Front is done!! Bro Lean so bad!




Rear done!!! The front should settle once I get the steel bumper mounted...

I went camping this weekend at Turner Falls located in Oklahoma. It was my first time there and it was alot of fun. I took my gopro, however i did not have my waterproof back door so i did not take it to the water with me so i only have a couple photos from the camp site. If you want to check out more just google the place. There are a lot of cool stuff to see and do.

There are a shit load of people there. Its a very popular place. I had to back into this ditch to park near the water.
