Gotta love OE ECU changes. It will probably be another few months (at least) before the aftermarket scan tool guys get access to library updates from the OE associations. Unless someone can get access to the dealer scan tool, which can request the specific PID while another tool listens for and the captures the request/response, reverse engineering is a tall order.

Is there a PID that tells you when Mr. Atkinson wakes up?

Need PID's for the Torque app. The above ones are for the scan gauge. The torque app uses actual equations

so here is a stab at this.

    pid : 221aaa
    ((A*256)+B)*(9/5)-65496

    pid : 221AC0
    ((A*256)+B)*(9/5)-65496

cant test this currently. I probably screwed this up so correct me please.

Most commonly use is the Torque app. But any decent generic ODBII logger will probably use them. Basically it's the address at where to find a particular censor data within the ECU, and the conversion routine needed to convert that data into a human readable format.

    That I know, thank you.

What data are those specific codes fetching?

Those particular 2 are the transmission temp censors.

Hope they work for a 2017. Ill test when I get home. The torque app actually has a trans temp in the menu for my Tacoma, but only 1. The temp would read about 195 degrees F

Well the pids are not correct.

Also the Trans temp mirrors the coolant temp, so that is not correct.

I did download a plug-in for torque to scan pids but it takes a long time to go thru all the possible 6 digit hex locations.
