I need to remove the haze from some headlights on a Honda and am looking for a kit that works well. I had tried one brand that had sanding discs and abrasive creme, but they only looked good when wet.

I used the 3m kit from autozone and my wife's Honda Fit headlights look brand new.

Why can't you just use a DA polisher with compound and then polish?

All of the kits I've used, including the 3m one I referenced, are just 2000, 3000 and 5000 grit sand paper, some polish and a UV protectant.

You're just wet sanding with 2000, then 3000, then 5000, wiping it clean, polishing it, and lastly putting the protectant on. You can buy all that stuff on your own separately. Probably cheaper as well.

Thanks for all the help. I found a pair of new for $60. Way easier to replace and less work.

Keep them waxed and they will not develop cataracts!

Put something other than wax on them. Get either sealant or coating. Wax won't hold up as well.
