Favorite day in basic was the tower. I think the harness was called a Swiss seat? I know it's not really high, but it was still fun.
Though I don't remember the fence.

 

I could do something like that, but much higher and I wouldn't even be able to climb to the top. Well really I just really really really wouldn't want to.

Christ, half of the people I see on the roads don't even know how to do a basic trucker's hitch. Their knowledge of knots ends at their shoelaces. Thank god for ratchet straps for dopes like that.

Ratchet straps are great. Usually more than twice the wieght rating and easy to store. Also the quarantine bed net is the best ive seen.

Absolutely true, but much less flexible (use-wise) than rope. I use ratchet straps and keep 6 in the truck, but I've also got a 50 foot coil of rope in there because it's so much more flexible than straps for tying down something awkwardly shaped.
