Top of the morning to all of you guys and gals! I live in Columbus, Ohio and am currently in the research/funds collecting stage of buying a new Tacoma. I work for a dealer group, so the purchase part is easy. What I need some help with is the lift. Ive spent hours upon hours on here reading about what I "need" as far as a lift goes. What I don't know, is where I can have it done. Have any of you folks had any good experiences at a shop in Ohio somewhere? Im planning on doing a 2.5/2 and some wheels and tires. Nothing too crazy at all. Help a brother out!!!

    Jeff

    all tore up already
Do it yourself and learn along the way. More satisfying when you finish it and the wheels dont come off the first drive. Just buy assembled struts and have someone do the alignment and boom, you lifted your own truck. Promise it isnt too tough

This^. Besides oil changes and minor maintenance I never messed with anything else on my vehicles. It's not as daunting as one would think. As long as you're somewhat handy and can figure things out you should be fine.

Most dealers I know have subs that install aftermarket options such as leather seats and such for them, suspension lifts included.
Find a dealer sub and go to them about it.
Most likely they have a good relation with your dealer, they know your new vehicle well, and you might be able to keep your warranty and get a good price to boot. Just a thought.

    Hope that helps
    Cheers!

I have never lifted any tacoma in my life. I think lifted trucks do look better but I never found the need to do so. Granted all my truck will ever see is mud. I dont climb rocks and I never go 4 wheeling for the hell of it. I do go hunting and dont dodge going where I need to get to. My trucks have always done what I needed being stock and a good set of tires. I guess lifting to me personally I fell like all i get out of a lift is more wind drag which means less mpg and bigger tires which pulls harder on my motor which also means less mpgs. Dont get me wrong here if you want and like lifts knock yourself out if thats what you like thats your decision. Its just not for me.
