Same. Another thing I've been doing is drinking a lot more water. It's crazy how much that helps.

Nice. I've got a Hobie Angler but haven't even taken it out once this year. Too busy.

Hey all!! I'm still here but haven't been spending a ton of time online lately. Still been going to the gym 3-5x per week and lifting hard. Need to start in on the cardio again. I've dropped from 260 to 247 this AM. Had a real hard time breaking 250.

    image.png

I created a neat calendar-thing to help me building out my morning and evening habits. Started doing a daily planks challenge to focus a bit more on my abs and gut and in doing so found a few others that I use 3x a week for squats, sit-ups, and push-ups.

I found a 3liter plastic bottle last weekend after camping in 100+ weather and all we had brought with us was warm. This thing is perfect for helping me drink lots of water. Try to drink a third of it in the first hour of waking, then the rest by 12 noon. After that, I drink as I feel fit to. Filling it up and putting it in the fridge is now a keystone habit for my evening chill down routine.

Haven't been logging my food lately, and more so have been eating when I feel hungry. Still doing well on the no fast-food, but traveling weekends or en route to camping can be tough.

Caught a glint of light at a high angle yesterday while in the gym, and noticed in the mirror how I had a space between my chest (where lots of my fat sits) and my belly (where the rest is). My chest is larger than my gut!! Think this was one of my first realizations that I'd visibly lost fat, even though the scale hasn't dropped that much. Helped my motivation a ton and had an even better workout today. All my clothes fit a ton better and some of my bigger ones now look funny on me or fall off.

Hope everyone else is seeing results like this!

Well officially 260 lbs. weighed myself at night after eating instead of the morning. Just added some fuel to the fire. Ran twice this week, MTB ride today after work. But for me it's about food intake and portion control.

Trying the 5:2 diet combined with a macro diet. We'll see how long this lasts.

 Do we know eachother? I used to be really active and then stopped posting, and I don't really know why. I'm not trying to lose (much) weight but I do like to see what ole @Dickhead is up to.

    And I'm Devin.
Where do you kayak, and what's the water like? There is plenty of water nearby, but I'm afraid to get in going so slow and unprotected (i.e. not in a boat), because of the alligators.

We've possibly talked before. Do your lakes and rivers have predators that could eat you? And what are stripers?

Keep at it. One day you'll break through that slow down. At least, that's how it went with me. First 10 was easy, next 10 was not as easy and then that last 10...well, I made it about 8 lbs in to that and I've been pretty static there.

Forgot to post my non-update... Still 185.6 lbs., all from just cutting out the Mountain Dew from my lunches at work and drinking more water. Apparently I'm at that first plateau. Now to actually start doing regular cardio to really start losing!

You can push past that plateau with a change of diet as well. How you look is based a lot on diet. You can workout as much as you want but without a proper diet you may not get the results that you want.

I'm going to check in early. Been traveling all week, leaving early a.m. For home.

Only 1 lb down from last week but according to this scale finally under 200 for the first time in close to 8 years or more.

I got under 200 for the first time in probably 6 years.. Heaviest was 230 lowest recent weigh in was 198.. Hovering at 200lb mark. Regular excercising and cardio at gym and monthly 7km runs. 1st run vs 3rd run times got slightly faster.
