Figured I would post in this thread as well.

Had my 10k service along with the TSB reprogramming performed. It's classified on my paperwork as TC1601 which is the OP Code for TSB-0077-16. I can definitely feel a much better throttle response off the line and holding the gear much better before shifting. Delay from reverse/neutral to drive is completely gone so far. I'll report back in a few days, but so far so good.

Post #1 has been gutted. Maybe it's an attempt to reduce the redundant threads?

I am getting the TSB update this Friday. Truck has 8k miles on it and I have been through all the surging and lagging and cruise control problems. So hopefully I can give good feed back once the TSB is done.

If it is like most here I am really looking forward to it.

200 miles in on new TSB. Just experienced harsh up shift from 1st to 2nd ...starting out from a stoplight. Strange never had this before. Felt like driveline slack but obviously some type of transmission delay

I still have the occasional rpm flare when cold. Maybe 2 or 3.

I have about 1k on the new TSB s/w and it is improving over time. But, I do have some drives that feel like nothing has changed. Mostly low speed driving. HWY feels much improved.

No ill effects yet from the flash yesterday, have about 75 miles on the truck so it's learning how to drive again. Pleasant surpise this morning was my daily 20 mile commute was up 2 mpg today with the usual traffic (22.7). Since the update, the acceleration seems to be more linear when feathering the throttle in D mode, very similar to S4 mode before the flash.

Will continue to monitor so no real judgment yet but am pleased with initial performance so far.

So just got the TSB done (no sticker installed). This is the work sheet. From reading this I don't see any TSB number or the new patch code. After saying that I drove it about 20 miles on the highway. Shifting seems smoother as well as speeding up to pass people going 75mph.

My worry is that it's in my head because of hardly no info on the work order about the new update.

    Am I just being paranoid?

I did about an 800 mile trip just last week. I still think there is an improvement overall, but I did experience some hesitation/harshness from 1st to 2nd when leaving a parking lot. I used the cruise on the freeway at speeds varying from 65 to 80; it didn't hunt for gears or drop from 6th to 4th near as much as it did before, but it still would downshift into 5th on the slightest of rise and actually would maintain 5th until I would hit a slight decline in the road surface. Come to think of it, the truck spent most of its time in 5th while I was using the cruise. Gas mileage on average was the same for the trip that I would get before doing the TSB.

One interesting note but totally unrelated...during this trip I was at a friends house in rural VA, and he has a large wrap-around gravel driveway with some steep elevation changes. As I was leaving his house, I went up a steep incline and the truck actually stuttered pretty hard and almost stalled. I remember reading something on here about the injectors and truck angle on steep inclines/declines, but it was kind of disappointing that an off-road truck would perform like that in what I would consider to be a benign off road situation.
