Are any of the trails mentioned newbie off-roader friendly? I am inexperienced at off-roading and would like to try some of the scenic drives with folks who know what they are doing. I will have plenty of time for exploring/tagging along and so forth. I have read the AZ trails pages in the AZ sub-forum but they are all a blur at this point.

Right on man. Thanks for the heads up in the AZ trail book. It will be purchased soon. Since I will be near Sedona, I will have lots of opportunities to go exploring up that way.

I agree, CK isnt that fun. Sure the obstacles get pretty nasty. Especially the final one. But its a dirt road. The everything buger at the old mill is awesome though.
I would say do Turkey Creek from Bumble Bee to Cleator. Then drive up the normal dirt road to CK to eat.
You can always go down the back way to Phoenix or even Prescott from CK after. You can still do the obstacles also.

I think this trail is awesome to do and will test you.

Very true. If Jason and Nate go out they also do some fun and hairy shiz in the north valley.

Jeepers and I discussed some of the more difficult options we want to do this year and into next.

Smasher Canyon & Log Corral are on that list

Also the 300 rim road is nice and lots of little roads to jump off of and test yourself and wont take you to far off the main road incase you get in over your head

I noticed after I put on Icons my truck has about 1-2" of height variance in the front depending if I pull into spots or back into them.

Anyone else play gta5 zone out and then realize you have been off-roading in video game for 2 hours?

I was on that run. Rode with Tyler though as I had just sold the jeep.

Did the trail back in May again. It was a little more washed out. :D

HEY AZ DUDES! Need some help...

A friend of mine recently bought a 3rd gen 4Runner that definitely needs new rear axle seals... no big deal. Sort of expected.... but I'm also a little worried about a possible head gasket being blown...

That said, anyone have any good mechanics in town that they would recommend he check out? He's located near 15th ave. and Bethany Home.

Any help/input would be hugely appreciated.

Was that a suggestion for a mechanic? Or did you simply want him to see the post?
