The transmission is not sealed per se, It just does not have a dipstick, for the general public to access level of fill.
A tech with proper training in service procedure can access and adjust the ATF level.

Here you go OP, this chart will help you in determining the amount on pan.

And the service procedure provided by an awesome TW member

    Hope that helps!
    Cheers!

And remember, if you make a mistake with a buzz, you have to correct that mistake with the same buzz - can't explain why, that's just the way it is.

HAHA! Well, if anybody is interested, I went a picked up a quart of Yotas ATF WS ($11 at the dealer) and put about 3/4 of it back in as I have no clue what I drained out. Anyway, drove it hard for about 20 minutes. 100 MPH in sport mode and auto mode. Shifted hard at stops, picked up speed fast, slowed down hard...and speed again..etc. If that makes sense. It seemed fine, I couldn't notice anything different/wrong. But then again, it wasn't a long ride in the heat of the day. I hope its OK. I guess only time will tell.

As some have mentioned, guess I need to drink better beer next time :)

This will be a good post that Toyota will use to void your warranty when the tranny fails. Seriously, go through the check procedure and make sure it's filled correctly before you drive it again.

Suck it up and admit your mistake to a dealer and pay to have it fixed. If not, the above quote will definitely apply!

TW is slowly becoming equivalent to the comic sections in the news paper (3rd gen, at least).

How'd u like Fort Drum? I lived there for four years and loved it. But hey, I made the mistake and am NOT gonna hide that fact in order to get my mistake taken care of by Toyota, when its NOT their fault. So I fucked up, and I admit it. If they actually read all this BS, then hell, the way I hope they see it is. Dude made a mistake, put some fluid back in it and its running just the same. Hell, we built a badass truck! Again, I fucked up and I will OWN it! I'm not looking to place the blame on Toyota nor trying to find a "way out". If the transmission is fucked up due to MY mistake, then I will suck it up and move forward.

I would have never started this thread if I was trying to hide something/fuck somebody over. It was just in good fun! Ya know? Maybe somebody could relate, get a kick out of it or maybe even learn from my idiotic move.

Its called being a standup bro. Apparently you don't get it. An embarrassment to the 10th MD!

First part of my post was a joke, which apparently you missed, it was just in good fun, ya know!!

i was trying to help you. You stated you went out and drove at 100 mph with a tranny that could possibly be under filled. If I had any concerns about, I'd check the damn levels first instead of driving it.

I don't know you, so I'll just ignore your last paragraph, and you completely from now on.

    Have a good one.
