Wow, as the trip grinder on, I missed doing a few updates. On Day 10 we rolled in to the Republic of California, not a place I love. The days are out a little long as personalities wore on each other. I will give a quick recap of the time I forgot to post about and upload some pics.

Day 10 was almost 400 miles from Lincoln City, Or to The Avenue of the Giants. We had planned to camp on the coast in Shelter Cove, but the chance to camp in the middle of the giant Red Woods was to good to pass up. HWY101 is a fun ride through some beautiful, and fun in a relaxing way.

We did have a run in with a gas attendant in Brandon, OR. I have reached out to the manager of the store, I have never been talked to in that manner, nor have I ever heard someone disrespect my father like that. Needless to say, my brother and I didn't let it go.... Fuck you Derek!

Day 11 was a much shorter day, although we got a late start. From the Ave of Giants we hopped on CA 1, and took it down the coast until we turned for Petaluma. My dad and I both use to live in Petaluma, I love that city. We were able to stop to surprise some old friends. Then turn and head to Napa, were my brother lives. This is when we had our first mechanical issue, well I did. I lost clutch response in the handle. Luckily, it was a simple fix of the adjustment screw. which is a PITA for someone with my size hands to get at. Once we got to my brother's, we ate like kings. He is currently dating a wonderful women from Hawaii, and she loves to cook.

Day 12 was a rather boring ride to Yosemite. although we did leave late enough, it was a rather short day, to see 108.5º. We stayed in the Half Dome Village. Not much was planned, but we did ride the bus around and get dinner.

Day 13 was about exploring Yosemite and taking it easy, then we headed to Mammoth, which was another short day. We stayed at a friends house and once again, ate like kings.

Day 14 was an interesting one. We headed for Death Valley! When we stopped at the Ranger's Stations we saw and talked to an awesome Tacoma, they couple was from Oregon and were headed to the peak to camp. Also, while at the Ranger's Station, a gal walked in and said she really enjoyed watching us handle the curves coming into the park (we enjoyed them too). I'll post a pic after this. We really enjoyed Badwater Basin road that took us deeper into the park. It maintained about 118º for the majority of the time, but did peak at 123.8º. After a stop in Shoshone for water and fuel, we continued on to Las Vegas.

Day 15 Last day on the road! and the one I am the most familiar with. We drove across the Hoover Dam and stopped outside of Kingman and my Grandpa's place. That man is a living legend, the life he has lived, is amazing. Then we made the sprint to our awaiting families waiting in Phoenix. My wife had taken care of food and getting everyone at our house for the homecoming. After a couple of hours, my brother's bike was loaded up and everyone left my house.

The last two days has been spent cleaning up and spending time with my family, I missed them so much. However, it was worth it.

OK, pics to come soon, I have to go make pancakes.
