Any recommendations for portable air compressor

Any one have a good recommendation for portable air compressor for trips, dont need a full compressor type with air tank etc, but something thats sufficient to reinflate tires after a trail run etc.

Remember that these all use ceramic pistons( or something) so expect it to get hot real fast and let it cool down before doing the next tire. If you are going from like 25-35 for all four shouldn't be an issue, but if you are going from 15 to 35 on all four I would do two at a time and let it cool down.

Viair 88P , it's a great performing portable air compressor. It connects directly to the battery, which avoids any blown fuses. I would suggest buying the extra air line so you have enough line to reach the rear tires.

 

^^^^ this, I was going to spend a few more bucks but this is will suffice for 33" tires, price is right, brand is right...time will tell.

This is my Portable Air solution. Used it this weekend at the Toyota Takeover in Rausch Creek PA

Worked like a champ!

ARB All the way!!! comes with everything you need to install, minus some wiring extensions, shrink wrap and solder if you need it. $300 will get you a rock solid on board air set up. with every penny.

I've run it along with several people on the forum and have no complaints, 15->38PSI on all 4 tires in under 10 minutes. If money is no object go for a Viair or ARB but the MV50/MF1050 get the job done.

No install necessary it stores in a little case and you can just carry it with you when you want

 

I bought this one a couple months ago and it works great! Hooks up to the battery and takes about two to three minutes, to air up from 24psi to 34psi for each tire.

Did you have to modify the dewalt box slightly? I couldn't get the box to close with the 2780 in it. The base hits some of the structural 'tabs' that are in it. I even laid it in the there the same way.

I do apologize. Yes I cut or melted a small notch in each tab for clearance. I used wife's lipstick on each tab to see where it needed a small notch. Easy fix.

Viair is super reliable so I went with their option. I believe I have the 400p. Great compressor!
