You can always edit and "fix" and add to the sale thread, change pictures, etc. I say go for it.

Yeah, I would think a new sales thread and bring over the install pics, both under the hood and your bezel mount.

Mod could move this thread ownership but it's also listed in GB sections so...

I'll just start a thread, the Mods can clean this one up.. and maybe we can throw in a link to my mounts in the OP.

Later on tonight when I have time I will put together some basic information and post it in an info thread. There are enough owners of the switch pro out there now that a clean source for purchase, installation and update information will be beneficial. since I am at work and away from the computer and only on an iPhone now it is too difficult to get it done until later.

As mentioned above, a new thread has been created to help clean up the information contained in this thread about the Switch Pros SP8100. Here is the link:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/switch-pros-sp8100-switch-panel-information-discussion.439310/

I will be spending some time running through this thread to provide links to the information others have left so that it will be easy to find the information in one place. If you prefer, continue to post in this thread. The intent is not to shut this thread down or make it obsolete but to make it easy to find helpful information.

Here's what I did...I tapped IG1 NO. 2 for blue and TAIL for yellow in the fuse panel under the dash.

Do the lights on the switch-pro button panel ever shut off when you turn the truck off? I tried that and the green lights where always on? Button pad didnt dim with headlights on either.

Yes, my panel definitely dims when lights are activated and the control panel turns off when I shut off the truck. I first tried IGN NO. 1 and it didn't seem to turn off, but when I used IGN NO. 2 it does.

On my truck, the lights stay on for 15-30 sec after I shut off the truck then they turn off. The same for the SP control panel.

Here ya go...I have the push-button start in my DCSB OR and with the first push of the button, the SP-8100 does not come on. With the second push (accessory on) it does come on and after shutting off the truck (and opening/closing door or locking) it does go off with the rest of the system (i.e. lights, etc) after 30 seconds (which is what my vehicle settings is currently configured to. Hope that helps!

    Hey guys,
Where/what kind of store is a good place to a mounting plate for the brain of the Switch Pro (or even a Blue Sea fuse box or sPod)?
Whether from an aluminum block, or just a bent sheet of aluminum... not sure where to get something like this

    Thanks

I mounted mine on the fuse box lid. Is this not an option? It can be mounted anywhere, the firewall, fender, etc.

Making your own plate is pretty easy, but if you don't have the time or tools, there are others who sell such things:
    http://www.tacomapros.com/blue-sea-mounting-plate/
