Pismo/Ocean Dunes Potluck

Everyone please bring some wood to contribute to the fire. Since we have such a large group as long as everyone brings some we should have plenty to keep us warm at night .
Notice, no pallets or anything with nails.

Potluck for Saturday Night Dinner:
@goblue82: 2-3 racks of ribs plus a full size grill
@Thesandaddict: about 4lbs of Carne Asada and 1 side
@sdsurfer: Guacamole, salsa and chips, and some hot dogs and buns for the kiddos
@stvstoy: tortillas and some salsa & beans for the carne asada, also a Coleman 2-burner camping stove
@uhplifted: mini camp size charcoal grill, a Costco pack of Asada and the taco sized tortillas
@TXpro4X4: cheese & beer
@fishfinder: a few pounds of thresher
@Nicklovin: 5 pound bag of mexican cheese, paper plates & napkins
@DesertDunes: 9lbs of Pollo Asada
@eon_blue: beer and a few tri tips...some chips and dip and such
@icetreye: Some good ole brats. Maybe some spicy sausages too
@Mike likes Tacos: bringing beer,kabobs,chips, and small gas grill
@ntydog13: a couple big containers of cookies and some marshmallows with coat hangers to roast some up

1. Down for a potluck. Saturday night is probably best since everyone should be there by then. I'm down to bring whatever and eat whatever, not a picky eater at all.

2. I think I have a small portable grill, I'll check on that tonight. Just ordered my portable air compressor so I'll have that if anyone else needs it, I'm sure many others have one as well. I can contribute to firewood as well. Haven't camped in years so my supplies are lacking.

 

I have a Tow Strap and Shackles. Also have a compressor, though it's tends to overheat when it's hot.

My camp game is weak so I have to buy a tent and whatever little doodads the girls may need to be comfortable. I apologize that I don't have more to offer there.

I can definitely pitch in bring up food stuffs. I'm not much of a cook either, so maybe someone who is a bit more talented in the culinary department can come up with a suggested meal plan that we could make sure we were fulfilling?

 

I'm also bringing my tool bag that has everything in it that I used to lift my truck, and install my armor.

 

Right there with ya. I've got an extra tent, but I may end up needing it if my bed tent doesn't hold up in the wind. I've got a recovery strap as well and should have my d rings in soon

 

Prep to have things to keep sand out of your food if the wind is bad. Also park aiming downhill if it's windy. @logcabinwc left his truck for like 5 min and the wind took sand out from under his tires and buried it lol

 

Who wants to place bets on how quick I get stuck

1. Up for a potluck! I'm pretty indiscriminate when it comes to food and drink, Sat. night dinner would be my vote
2. I have tow straps, traction boards, an air compressor, a couple extra chairs, an extra tent, cooking stuff, firewood... Just let me know what I should bring!

Within 5 minutes of driving off the beach and into the deep stuff (because you'll be too excited) and then after you're unstuck an hour later because by then the fear is gone again and you'll start jamming around.
Hopefully kidding, your truck should be light enough to stay afloat on top of the sand a good amount. Brake lightly and slowly roll to a stop.

Also for everyone the rangers are VERY strict about your speed near the water on the main "road" and there are small endangered birds so avoid them!
