TW newbie here, looking for the man, the myth, the legend, Mr. Marv.

Just wondering how I can get in contact with Mr. Marv? First time doing any kind of forum or media online so having some technical difficulties figuring out how to get in contact with a member. I have a 2011 doublecab and am installing the JL audio evolution C2650X and C2690TX with the RD 400/4 on friday but am still trying to figure out what to do about a subwoofer to go along with it. I've had W7's in my last 3 vehicles and have been extremely happy with JL's products so I'd like to stick with them. I am hoping to install a single TW5 behind the passenger seat but the only place I've seen it done was in one of Mr. Marvs photos and the space behind there is tight so I'm trying to get as much help as possible. Just wondering if anybody had a sketch/drawing with dimensions shown for building a box that would work for the application, or know anywhere that I could purchase one for it. Thanks.

@Mrmarv is not going to post his demensions online. He will help you, if you are building your own box then he can help with making sure the airspace is correct, talk about which subs you need, etc.

But as an fyi... you can tag people by inserting the '@' and then entering the user name... such as "@Glopsnearch13" and they will receive an notice they have been tagged. You can find a post he has made. His signature has his contact info. He is tagged in this thread now though...

Sound is relevant to the person listening to it... Are you listening to rap, rock, edm? Do you like alot of bass or just trying to get a bit more for sound quality? Do you want a ported or sealed box? What is your budget? So think about that.

In the mean time, the box...
a sealed box will fit behind the seats with a shallow mount sub. Shallow mount subs are probably going to be your best bet as they do not require alot of airspace and they are easier to make boxes for. Ported boxes will require more airspace and require larger boxes. This is possible to achieve behind the seats but typically you are limited to 1 sub, or you can build a box that sets in your back seat, this options opens the door to more subs and the option to go sealed or ported. Depending on the sub the airspace required will very.

Subs....
shallow mounts are almost a must for behind the seats. There are a few brands that are make subs that dont have a large mount depth, I would say that 4.5 -5" mount depth for behind the seats is max. Typically the magnets will hit the back wall if the get any deeper. JL makes some shallow mount subs that people really like. Image Dynamics makes a sub that is not a shallow mount that fits behind the seats. If you are wanting to go with the 10w5 then im pretty sure you will need to go with a ported box that sets on the seat. People have designed them to look like a center console for the rear seats.

I have 2 sundown audio SD3 10s in my truck. MrMarv helped my with my deminsions and building the box, they turned out great. My subs have a large magnet and he helped me make sure the magnet would not hit the back of the box. You can check them out in my audio build thread. There is a link in my signature.
