    Question for manual transmission owners:

Does this interfere with shifting? I just ordered my tech deck and on my way to work this morning I was picturing where it was going to mount and now I'm a little worried about it getting in the way of shifting.

I highly doubt it. The bracket only protrudes from the dash like 2" and it mounts directly under the radio.

I did some digging and answered my own question earlier today. I found a picture of a manual with one installed.

Got my tech deck installed the other day. Here's a snap of the hardware I used for 2 1" RAM ball mounts.
Just for FYI in case anyone is wondering what to get. All purchased at Lowes.

Also just a little gripe... are the only differences between the "xtreme duty" and "regular" tech deck a 3/4" x 7" strip of aluminum and a few extra holes drilled? After having the product in my hands I just don't see a justification of the cost difference between the two models if that's the case. If I'm wrong please correct me.

I too noticed this, but I do think that there may be differences is the stereos. I know in my case the extra aluminum wont matter.

I just bought a mirror relocation part. This is genius, and I was wondering if someone had made one yet. Will post reviews upon installation and testing.

As far as I could tell, yes, that piece of aluminum is the difference.

I did an installation video if anyone is interested. It's pretty easy to figure out from their directions, but it might help someone. I still need to finish up writing the full review, but I will post that once it is done.

    https://youtu.be/zEGtzv3qCxo

At the end you can see the setup I am running full time and it's great for a phone. In a previous post I talked about my current setup, but here it is with the install video.

    Current Setup:
    3" Ram Arm
Metal Plate for Phone Case: http://amzn.to/2aMvQKq
    Magnetic Ram Mount: http://amzn.to/2aMwwPZ

    Inital setup was:
    Ram Arm (6")
    Phone Holder: http://amzn.to/2aOz8wg

The 6" arm was too long for what I wanted and it held the phone too close to me. It got in the way a lot. Especially when it was on the top left ball. Not as bad when it was on the top right.

Installed a TechDeck - still deciding how to accessorize it. Some parts coming in on Thursday of this week. Very stout. Great product!
