Retro 4WHEEL-DRIVE badge by bhicks22 on eBay

Hi all,

Just thought I'd drop a few pictures of the badge I picked up on eBay from bhicks22. I love old FJs but I don't think I'll ever have the cash or garage space for one. This is the next best thing!

The badges are machined from aluminum and the colors are nice gel coats. They come in cream or black with an easy 3M sticky application. They're perfectly flat, so they're much easier to apply than an old curved badge from a real FJ40. However, Tacoma tailgates are not perfectly flat (nor is any part of the truck, really), so this thing will never be immaculately flush.

The machine work is well defined, though there is a tiny step (maybe a few thou) on the flat space surrounding the letters, you can see it under the paint. Only noticeable when you take a close look.

I pulled off the V6 badge with floss and Goof-off, and placed this in the same spot. Overall I'm very happy with the piece! Just adds a bit of old-school flair to the truck.
