buying a tundra 2004 52k miles $12k 2x4

    No, and no.

    If you want a 4x4, get a 4x4. And $12k seems a bit steep. I've seen 2010 4x4 Tundras sell for about $18k - $20k around here.

    Yes I believe you can convert it to 4x4 there should be a write up on tundrasolutions or Socaltundras

    Way too much for that year of Tundra. 2 wheel drive should be near 6k.
