Hello, looking to upgrade the stock nonjbl system and keep the head unit. I am looking to add a small 4x50RMS amp, but will start with speakers for now. I am looking at these http://www.crutchfield.com/p_109STAGE6C/JBL-Stage-600C.html speakers but am curious if just going two-way like http://www.crutchfield.com/p_1131665S/Kenwood-KFC-1665S.html?tp=105 in the bottom would be better since I am not doing a super high quality build? I would just disconnect the factory tweeters probably if I went two-way

Doesn't matter if it's super high quality or not. It's better sound imaging with components, and I put my tweeters in the black triangles where the mirrors are. Sounds amazing.

IMO, you can't get the same fidelity in a truck cab you get in a home/room setting.
You need distance for sound waves.
If you have the $ go component but high quality 2 way will get you there too.

I like Crutchfield for research but the prices are way better on Amazon.
