Falken Wildepeaks at3w showed up

My new tires arrived today.
Got the 265/70/17 non LT size. I didnt want the exta weight of the LT
I was worried they were going to end up looking a bit lame like a normal tire not like the ones always posted in the LT version.
I will say I am happy with the way they are designed. Tire looks plenty aggressive and the tread seems nice and deep at 14.5/32 and the sidewall lugs are larger then expected but look nice




I have yet to see any real good pics of the tread depth and look of the nonLT tires so hopefully this will help others in a decision if they are on the fence of the nonLT version

I just found this post: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/packed-with-technology-falken-wildpeak-a-t3w.419869/ and you were close the spec sheet showed 46.5.

 

So i got them mounted this morning.
Have to say they look fantastic on the truck. Really gave it a much more aggressive look.
So my short trip drive back from the tire shop. They seem to feel pretty smooth and noise they are maybe slightly louder then the Toyo A30 but I wouldnt say they are loud at all. The only time you really hear them is when you are going around a curve at normal speeds you can hear them thats about it.

Edit* On the Falken website those tires are listed at 46.5 lbs for 265/70r17 115T load. So that's pretty much dead on..
