Do you need to know, or care?
Did you glance at the sticker price?

Didn't even think to, but now that you mention it, would have been interesting to see what they were asking for it.

 I like those styled ones Toyota made. I'm sure they will charge a pretty penny for it.

It had a sticker in the window, so I'm guessing it was for sale. :)

I think it is kind of cool to look at but I wouldn't pay extra for it.

With those tires looks more capable then the TRD PRO. I kind-of love the old school look of it. SR5 with dealer add-ons? Honestly prob 35k plus 10k of options.

I was thinking about doing this, not seriously, but it was one of those "I wonder what that would look like" ideas.

The original looks better. This is cool I guess, but Marty did it better.

@Crom you may need a new project...besides the inherited car, did you ever get some numbers on your solar efficiency? Curios to see if there was enough payback to make that happen in another expedition truck ..For the money and space that the panels and components cost, could you give it a thumbs up or would you re-think it next time? You my friend inspired me with your ideas, simple but true and aimed at comfort, convenience and having a backup plan....really enjoyed it and look forward to your next gen projects...

Thanks for the vote of confidence. The fact is I have projects coming out of my ears, I can barely keep up with them all. I'm completely rebuilding the front end on the car tomorrow, going to be in for a long day, I think.

As far as the solar, it was necessary for the fridge because we are base campers and park for 3+ days. The solar is more or less able to keep up with the fridge, depends on available light, etc. I have 75 watt panels and on average they produce 50% of what they're rated for over a days time.

Next time I do a trip I'll put a meter on the panels and get a good report.

I do have this note from fridge power monitor from last year...

From June 19, 2015 to June 27, 2015 (let's call it 8-full days), the fridge consumed 2.59 Kilowatt hours, or 214.3 Amp Hours. Average temps were in the 90's during the day, and low 70's at night. Although crossing the San Joaquin valley was 100's for hours.

As far as would I purchase again, Absolutely!

That looks exactly like the one Toyota did for the 2015 anniversary.

I heard rumors of them doing a limited release but that's actually got all the one-off parts.

That might be a 1 of 2 truck.

    Agreed.

Because size. The scale has to be right for the look to be right. '16 is too big to pull it off.

Answered my own question with some Googling. It's an SR5 with the right bumper and roll bar and it's missing all the special parts the other one had.

Definitely not worth 50K thought I'd like to see where they got the front bumper.

I keep toying with putting my roll bar on my 2016. If I didn't have the OEM tonneau I'd definitely do it.
