Fog light mod, JBA LT headers, drop-in k&n filter, energy bushings, tried fold topper, 2nd air filter removed, all new stereo system minus subs, plastisol the wheels.
I went ahead and bought LT JBA headers but they aren't going to get here till Thursday, and Im pissed seeing as i paid for 2 day shipping so they would get here today. I bought them Wed. So now I have to gut the cats as I need my truck.
    Wish me luck,

I'd be careful about it. Isn't it bad to breathe in the stuff inside catalytic converters?

Not sure but it can't be good to breath that crap in. I just hook a fan up blowing that stuff out the garage. Thx for the concern.
I gutted it and the truck ran good for a longer time but the same thing happened, it just took longer to happen.
I think the back cats are bad as well.
If so I'm just happy they are cheaper and I might buy some nice aftermarket ones.

Update, I ran on headers only for a while and the problem never arose so I'll be replacing my rear cats here soon.
Any suggestions on which cats I should buy?
I'd prefer 13in long cats so it would be easy to cut the old out and make the install easier.
Or should I just delete the rear cats?

Check with members in your area, maybe there are some that have done exhaust upgrades. Someone may still have their OE Y-pipe with cats just taking up space.
