I had terrible, terrible rasp after my URD Spec-U headers went in. Had to put a 12" Vibrant Resonator on. I figured it was the combination of the headers and my Spintech 6000 Muffler (which has a unique sound).

    Video of the rasp:

It would be cool to see a video of your gauges and the road while you do this... Very impressive video!

This is on a 2005 4Runner, but I figured I’d come here to ask and see if anyone had some insight.

I’ve contacted URD, just waiting to hear back, so hopefully I’ll have a good answer direct from them here soon.

I had the URD equal length headers and their O2 sim installed yesterday. I have the P0051 code popping up. I can clear it with my scangauge but it pops right back up about 10 seconds later.

Could this be from the O2 sim being either bad or installed incorrectly?
Or could it just actually be a bad O2 sensor in Bank 1?

I forgot to mention this in PM. Being that you have a T4R, if your exhaust has a leak before sensors, you will get an a code and some weird CAN system issues. Such as an ABS light activation.

I had time to get under the vehicle today after work and check to see first and foremost if all the connections were good with the O2 and O2 sim plugs, as that was some of the first advice I got (and kind of an obvious starting point).

Glad I did, the first O2 sensor on the driver side was in the header, but not plugged in, the end was just dangling there. I could get my hand on the plug but I couldn’t quite get it to plug in so I’m taking it back to the shop tomorrow to have them do it (I paid them enough, might as well have them finish the job).

There is still a chance that the O2 sensor could be bad, as I hear it’s pretty common for them to get dinged during installation, so I’m crossing my fingers that’s not the case, but at this point, the reason for the check engine light is most definitely due to the O2 sensor not being plugged in.

Yup. That is a pretty dang obvious problem. Lol. Hope that clears it all up.

So with these URD Headers do you require to buy gaskets separately or they go on just like that? In the photo I don't see any gaskets

URD headers use OEM gaskets. Would recommend new ones.

anyone know if throwing the vibration resonators in there negates some of the performance characteristics? thinking bout doing this for performance, but dont want the rasp so would put resonators in. no point if they'll nix the gains.

Called it quits for the day… tomorrow I’m gonna unbolt my CAB and give myself some room
((Like you said: better instructions please! I’ve got everything out of the way and off,, and it’s still stuck on my Drivers side… and all that beautiful Ceramic Coating? All messed up.

I hate ta say it,, cuz I think I have every single URD item from their Page… and honestly… not one has been a joy or straight forward

guess it’s the price of Speed
