It's ridiculously fun on the stock 195 width tires and stock suspension. You just have to manhandle it.

Thanks guys, hopefully it spools even faster once I get around to getting it properly dyno tuned.

So I finally bit the bullet and ordered suspension, wheels and tires.

The wheel/tire combo is nothing special, TRM C1's in 15x8 with 205/50r15 re71r's.

For suspension I got koni yellows, ie3 springs (should lower it about 2-3"), bigger adjustable sway bars, poly bushings for subframe and trailing arms, solid front lower control arm mounts, camber plates and a kit to make the rear camber and toe adjustable (involves removing the subframe and welding adjusters to the mounting points for the trailing arms).

Should be sitting much better fairly soon.

Finally got some gauges installed. Don't mind the fogged up oil pressure gauge, no clue why it did that...

Where's your redline? And is it just me or does boost hit really late?

Yes the car came with the radio removed and this blank plate in its place. I just took a hole saw to it.

    Thanks!

I have it set pretty low right now at 6500 due to the engine being new. I'll eventually raise it to 7100 or so. And the timing map is definitely not optimized yet due to this being a street tune. I have it very conservative which will cause slow spool up. Plus it is a 52mm turbo which isn't exactly small for a 2.7L engine. The plan is to get it dyno tuned in the near future to get the timing sorted.

    Thanks guys

Ok suspension upgrades are under way.

Front is done. Strut tubes were pretty rusty but I got them apart with a week of pb blasting and some map gas torch action. Wheel speed sensors also came out without incident.

    IE3 springs
    Koni yellows
IE camber plates with new oem top mounts
    Bimmerworld solid offset delrin Lollipops
    Ie 22mm bar

Rear is up next, kinda dreading dropping the subframe and dealing with those bushings.

Oxy torch and replace the bushings, that seems to be a go-to method if you dont care about re using them

Yeah I'm considering burning them out. We'll see how it goes.

Ok suspension is done for the most part, just need to align it and get IE to actually send me the correct end links for the rear sway bar. I just have it unhooked for now.

Took the car out to Pittsburgh last weekend for my first drift event ever. Learned a lot and the car did great.

I was running some $20 used sumitomos from 2003 on the rear.
