Forum: I'm very happy w/my 07 Taco except for it's load capacity. More that a few hundred pounds and things start to rub.

I have the drop kit on it w/Bilsteins and 18" wheels from a 13 Taco.
Very happy w/mods so far. Truck rides very smooth.

Air bags look like the best way to go.
I have seen posts on the different brackets that hold the bags.
I can do some simple fabrication in my garage.
    Drill, grind, cut, no welding.

What are my options and how much will it cost?
    How much work is required?
I won't be hauling very often, an on board compressor will not be needed.
I had some air shocks on my old El Camino, and loved them!

    TIA

    Rick

depends on how much you wanna do, i run sumo-springs, there easy to install and no air to mess with. They replace the bump stops. if you wheel or anything that needs the articulation don't go air bag unless you get the ketch cradle and if i remember right it requires a little drilling.
therefor my vote is sumo-springs or timberland bump stops(i think that how it was spelled)

    Thanks Dirt Rider.
I like the smooth ride, don't want to mess w/that!
I don't mind drilling or spending the money.
I don't off road, this is my daily driver do it all truck.

What is the best bang for the buck?

then air bags are probably for you, i know the sumo-springs sit touching the frame and it stiffened and lifted the rear a bit, but with weight its nice.
defiantly search through the forum i remember someone talking about it more a while back. or give it time some one else with them should chime in.
