Are you referring to the Dakar Leaf pack?

That is what I am using but there are other options for a full leaf pack (allpro, deaton, many others).

I did not buy new UCA

I'm using stock and I'm fine. Why spend the money if you don't need too.

    I have stage 2

Yep, just cut them off with a small sawzall short blade...I think 2 new bolts were like $20 on Amazon, maybe cheaper but not much elsewhere...both sides for me were a pain on the ass, if I did them again it surely would easier knowing what to expect...and yes the uniball is very stiff when you try to set it so you may use a rubber mallet to adjust it into position.Thats the only gotcha time consumers on the front end.

On the AAL be ready to do some cutting (grinder/cutter) have your tools ready, you may also have to align your leaf pin by moving the axle probably slightly forward to get the pin truly vertical (you can just nudge it with a short kick). Not sure why I had to do this on both sides. If you want to take it a step further measure rear axle to front LCA to make sure both sides are equal. Thats about it, did mine in the driveway at 105 degrees and 95-100 humidity, about 8-10 hours worth of work for the stage4....wore my ass out.

If you got the extended travel coilover set, also do yourself a favor and get the uCA's.

Thanks for all the information. I'll go into it expecting to cut my bolts. I might take the new bolts to work and drill the ends for lockwire just for extra insurance. I have seen what happens when this stuff comes apart. Just being my usual OCD self! Also, thanks Arkywally for the advice on the leafs and aligning the rear axle.

I like the way that looks! I am running a stage 6 and need to adj the fronts up more, probably and inch and a half. I have 285/70-17 and quite a bit of rubbing (FN Pro wheels). I had to take the front mud guards off because I could barely turn my front wheels with them...I honestly should have stuck with the stock wheels and put 285/75-16s on.

    Good morning everyone!

Just want to get a group input on the following:

1.) is everyone cranking up front coil overs? If so, measurement of threads exposed post?

Do not have more than 2.13" of exposed threads. Icons Tacoma only tested 2.13" of exposed and less. You have a high chance of the coils binding if you go higher

I was planning on an ICON lift, but all the kits I've seen come with AAL's, which I've never been a fan of. I think I'll go the same route you did and piece it together.

    Thanks for the infos!

Are people cranking the front to level off their truck ? How much thread exposed?

I found Amazon with the best price on the Coilovers and UCAs, but also note Amazon prices fluctuate. Since my purchase, I've noticed some pretty reputable vendors here on the site mentioning price matching. I'd rather spend the money with those guys, but money talks.

I pieced the suspension together because I didn't need reservoirs or the additional costs in the higher stage kits. I fell for the AAL out of the gate, but I'd tell anyone to spend/save money by replacing the leafs all together whether its a Dakar leaf pack or any other manufacturer. But then again, I probably should have bought a 1/2 ton.

I still have some rake at 1 7/8" thread showing. Instructions say not to go over 2.13" of exposed thread and also mentioned the 2016 will need more pre-load (thread exposure) than the 05-15 to attain lift.

I had my Icon Stage 3 kit finished up today. I cranked the coilovers up 2" in front and kept the overload in the rear to level it out. Tires are 265/70/17 (I bought them prior to lifting otherwise would have stepped up to 275's).

I've got mine in route - just looking at 1.5" front and rear; maintaining rake with AAL (no overload). What are others doing to compensate for drivers side lean - how many turns on the Coilover?
