im running that size on a 2.5inch lift and mud flaps with no rubbing and no wheel spacers. I trimmed the plastic in the front of the wheel well and pulled the front fender back a little. Thats about it.

Been looking at this tire size and wondering how much lift will be needed or if trimming will have to happen no matter what. 2016 DCLB TRD off-road.

Hey guys hope you can help me out. I have a 2016 DCLB TRD offroad arriving in a week. I purchased a 2016 OME 2 inch lift in the medium load. I want to get the 255/80/17 Cooper STT MAXX's with method NV wheels. Prior to the lift can they fit? After the lift should I have any issues?

^ minor rub parking in forward and reverse, but only slightly, wasn't able to pinpoint exactly where and when with the absurd traffic in this parking lot....

posted to point out that its not slap on rub free without a little heat/deforming [but also not much of a problem - 1,000 miles now and its the only time so far]. DSCN1711.jpg

I currently have 255/80/17 cooper st max on my taco now. I have 5100s all around with 2in aal and 885s up front. I have been thinking of going down in height and go back to somewhat stock height. I was wanting to keep my 5100s all around and maybe go to first or second notch up front and get rid of the aal. Anybody think I would have any issues?

Posting this for info for those that have inquired in various posts: for the trip in my last post I am just getting around to entering fuel usage into fuelly.com. I can't remember all the stops and points of destination to enter into googlemaps and get exact mileage. So with the odometer readings I am using a 3.6% conversion factor that I think I saw somewhere while screwing off on this forum. anyway, first fill-up with the new BFGs looked to be 16.5 mpg, steadily increasing and now up to 18.8. i had been able to get 20.2 often, so I'm gauging these tires are approximately 1.5 mpg loss. i am able to get pretty good mileage when i try so I'm wondering a little how others got increased mileage going to this size (not that I expect too, but I did see others post an increase due to power loss/less rpms).

I can still get 21-23 mpg with the stmaxx's. Just have to baby the truck a bit and stay off the big highways

Just took mine off and weighed them. 51.8 - 53.2 lbs. One was worn more then the others. Still lots of tread left, so Im guessing these are about 54 each new?
