Have a new 2016 taco , w/o the factory tow package . The purchase deal included that the dealer install a factory tow package. Bought in Jan. and still no tow package . The dealer says they can't get one from the factory ! This is August ! Anyone else have any imput or similar problems. I'm thinking the dealer is not sincere in my best interest . Need to contact the area rep for western Ky. Thanks

Is their promise documented on a due bill for you ? If so keep on them.

Good luck getting the actual package. They may install a hitch and wiring harness but adding the alternator and transcooler are not going to happen if you ask me.

The tow package also includes trailer sway control. It's in the software of the electronic stability control system.

From Toyota's web site: "When you’re towing, sometimes the wind kicks up or a load shifts, causing the trailer to sway. Included with Tacoma’s available Tow Package, Trailer-Sway Control (TSC) applies brake pressure at individual wheels and manages engine torque to help maintain control of the trailer."
