well I was always told there is no such thing as a bad question. However, experience has taught me that there are some really annoying questions. I've searched, but have not found a thread dedicated to the various options in over cab racks, and/or bed racks.

I am looking for options in over cab and bed racks, if you have one please tell about it, pics if you have them, and it's pros and cons.

On over cab racks I'm leaning toward waiting for the Gobi to come out, but the Prinsu is intreaging. I'm a little unclear of the benefit to the "deck style of the Prinsu as it seems the basket orientated options offer a bit more load security.

On bed racks I am looking for something to carry a RTT, preferably a bit lower so it sits at roughly cab Height. The price tag on these is shocking, but If I were to pull the trigger today I'd go All Pro. Do the moduleur options have a draw back beyond price. Are there any height adjustable options so it could be used for lumber/kayaks when the tent isn't on?

    Tell me what you got

I have been looking at a roll up cover for truckcoversusa. Reason being is they have an option where you could install Yakima bars on top to support an rtt. Seems like a good solution vs. having a rack on your truck all the time IMO.

Also check out KBVooDoo's racks. He makes full height and half height, and they're quality stuff.

This one is in my top 3 as well, but the versatility of the all pro I think trumps it. Their skid plate seem to be a decent deal however, never really looked at those before

Love your stuff, are you going to overland expo east? I'd love to see this rack in person

We probably won't make it to that one (too busy in the shop), but I'm sure our racks will be there.

Hope so.. As much as I want to get a rack ordered and on, I want to do it right once. I'm thinking it may be prudent to wait for the expo, and see a few options up close

Had an ALLPRO on my 2012 and used extensively for hauling kayaks etc. over the years. I just ordered one for my 2017 and highly recommend them...

New Setup; Leer 100R with Prinsu rack:

In regards to a basket style rack, I don't think the tent would easily be able to open off the side life with a rack of this style..just my .02..
