    Some really cool shit

Sorry for the delay folks. Got seriously wrapped around the axle at work. Incident requiring reports up the whazoo.

No time to go into great detail on each photo, but suffice to say, the extra week garnered some excellent entries.

davidpick and nimitz- so jealous of the skills you guys have in getting those results. Seriously professional looking work.

cuffs - love your entry as well. But no bourbon in there. :(
Paul and Bennet - really like the lines of the trees/boards
113tac - another great one. Reminds me of Ents in Hobbit books. Focus/out of focus. Color. All nice.

Winner - DEVON911 - I don't know what specifically grabbed my attention, I just like all the different angles, and varying depths of the wood grains.

    Thank you all for contributing.
    I liked every picture.

    Hear ye, hear ye!

A new challenge has been issued.

Challenge: something historic (houses, buildings, bridges etc.)

One photo per participant and will be due at the stroke of midnight of ye local time on this Sunday.

Get ye asses out and make thy challenge happen for I are tired of giving thy stink eye emoji to ye for a second week. :D

Maybe I can get back to participating now that I am home again. A busy 25 day trip tends to mess up outside activities.

Just do a google search for historic sites in your area. I'm sure there are more than you realize that would make some great subjects.

It is on the historic register for Steamboat Springs in part due to the preservation of the type of architecture but I think it is mainly because it is one of the main iconic symbols of Steamboat that you see in a lot of advertising. It was first called the Yock Barn because of the original owners then became the More Barn through a later sale.

Huh. A Google search comes up with multiple articles for both spellings. I just went by the application for historic landmark designation that is available online. It is also called the "Yock Bar" (historic name) or "Steamboat Barn" (one of the current names).

Aboard the USS Potomac. FDR's "Floating White House". Sitting on deck are two 1930's Chris Craft. One is named FALA, after FDR's Scottish Terrier. These are true 1930s Chris Crafts, but not the originals, as they were lost to neglect following FDR's death, and numerous subsequent owners of the Potomac. Elvis Pressley being one. In 1980 the Potomac was seized in San Francisco as part of a front for drug smugglers. Then she was dumped in an East Bay estuary, where she sank. She was rescued by the Port Of Oakland, where she was resurrected. The two Chris Craft were donated to the Port for use on the Potomac.
