    TacomaWorld the community needs your help. Yes, we need you all to consider helping @mikesdoublecab out in his time of need.

    For those that don't know, Mike is battling a serious health issue and needs all the support he can garner. We as a community can come together to help him out.

    The short of it is Mike has suffered kidney failure and has Chronic Kidney Disease. He is on constant dialysis and is in need of donations and more so a new kidney.

    Normally we don't allow gofundme fundraisers but we as the TW staff have looked at this one and unanimously agree that we approve of Mikes fundraising endeavors.

    Please take the time to consider Mike and all he is going through.

I have been using the GoFundMe campaign lately to find a kidney donor, so please don't feel any obligations to open up your wallets. Economy is hard for everyone and I would rather focus on my health than pay my bills and medical expenses.

    you beat me to it... yes, the local paper heard about my situation and came to see me at the clinic yesterday...

    as for updates, there have been 4 people who came forward as potential donors... all from Facebook...

    i just got the email today that 4th and final donor did not pass the screening, so 0 for 4 means i am starting all over again... i am eternally grateful to those 4 folks for even going through the testing...
