Yep, same here! They're aggressive, yet a C load. I emailed Nitto seeing if there's something in the works

The ATs will be better in snow than a self cleaning tire like the Pro. That and the fact that you are mostly Hwy go with ATs

Thank you for the great info. I have a stock 2011 Tacoma 4 Door. I love camping and getting off road (light off road) but live in Northern Michigan. I hate getting stuck in winter, so with my other vehicles I have always had an aggressive winter/snow tire year round. I really love Cooper but never have had this aggressive of a tread that you are reviewing. Do you feel that these tires would be a good for daily commuting, country living and camping? I tend to put around 30k miles a year on my vehicle? I am okay with a bit of road noise and do understand that mud tires wear more than a highway tire. Again I have a stock truck with the TR5 sport package and I believe that I can put on 265/65/17? Any info would be grateful. BTW: Just bought this truck yesterday! I owned my first Toyota when I was 18, bought it brand new off the lot. 4x4, Extra Cab, 4 cyl. It was before they were even called Tacoma's. Loved that truck very much but have been without a Toyota for a very long time. Excited to be back with a Toyota again :)

Yo man, I’ve always ran km2’s on my Tacoma’s (4 builds on km2, one on ko2) and was happy with the noise level. Do you think these are quieter? I’m currently trying to pick tires for a tundra, wanted to go ko2, but ko2s aren’t made in either 295/75r18, 285/70r18 or 285/75r18. Km2’s are. Raised white is a must.

I'm well into the life of my 2nd set of STT PRO's. 41k on set one. Didn't rotate enough and saw some unusual wear. 2nd set is just now hitting 35k and should see 50k AS A GOOD usable mud tire. Highly suggest rotation at 5000k or less.

Noise level does increase with wear. Worn Duratracs are louder than new PRO's. (I had Duratracs prior to 1st set of PRO's) probably about equal noise levels with 20k+ wear.

Also had KM2's in the past. Much prefer STT PRO's.

    Good on wet pavement.
As good as any mud tire in/on snow
    Rides well.
Outstanding in mud and on rocks.

BTW I'm running 285/75r16 load range E. STT PRO's. The Duratracs were 265/75r16 l.r. C. The STT PRO's ride FAR better In spite of being E's as compared to C's.
