    Hello everyone. I have a question.

    I am talking with a guy that has a aftermarket kenwood headunit installed in his truck. He just wants to be able to use his steering wheel controls with the radio so he's looking for a factory radio.

    I have a factory single disk radio from my 06 truck. His truck is also a 06, but he has the steering wheel controls, but I don't.

    Will my radio work in his truck with his controls?

    If both are JBL or both are non JBL they can be swapped over

    I would do that, expect he's on the other side of the country.

    You're speaking about the jbl package right? So sr5 radio vs upgraded jbl sound system radio.

    Your friend with the Kenwood should just buy the Axxess steering wheel control adapter to get his steering controls back. Its what I had to do. But I believe the radio with steering wheel control has an extra plug in the back for them, so no, they aren't the same

    He doesn't really know how to operate the radio and doesn't feel like taking the time to figure it out.
